I don't think it goes into "paintings" since I used markers on this piece as well... ugh stupid categories.

My friend's mom commissioned me to draw my friend's sister (her youngest daughter) a birthday present artwork and Edward Cullen it is. I have no idea about this book except it's vampire love story and who doesn't see THOSE around everywhere... in my opinion it's way too over used. I mean I like vampires and what not but it's literally everywhere!! I want to see vampires that are more vicious, blood thirsty and more WILD. That's why I LOVE Darren Shan Saga because it's so unique and different than most vampire related stories out there.

Anywayz, I know I drew his neck a bit too long for a more realistic looking art. Man I haven't drawn people with this thick of a neck for ages! It was fun coloring since it's done 100% Natural Media. Also this picture is cropped weird because the original was a bit too large for my scanner and I didn't want to bother scanning it more than once and digitally puzzle-piece together it.

I really REALLY shouldn't have used bristol board for this... since while I was coloring the back ground, I used mask inks and what not I had to rub off after use, and ending up tearing the surface layer of the paper off and what not.

Enjoy the picture and don't get my anti-vampire-romance get to you! I have weird tastes.

Wow... But yes, you are right. Darren Shan books are probably the best vampire books out there. Still they get on my nerves a bit: My friend just won't shut up about it.
