Number one of my little series of illustrations based on music.
Music is part of my inspirations so a little tribute to them. Thank you humanity for creating such wonder!!

Anyway, compared to the previous versions I pushed the color navy out more, like an indigo theme, to go with a classical yet digital feeling to it. Sounds exist anywhere, which reminded me of cells, which made me think of iodine dye, so yea. My train of thought is a bit screwy but all is good amirite?

"What ' previous' versions?" you ask?

Very beautiful drawing and nicely colored, I like how the lines variate from being thin and thick. Kinda remains me of a song called 'My ear's candy' :3

Huh never heard the song before... I shall check it out!

And thank you much!! I think the line art and the colors clash too much... like each of it's fighting over dominance.

I like this alot, especially the lining. Also, I like his dreamy expression -although his eyelid is so far down that he looks a bit lazy. I liked seeing the improvement chart, too. As the previous commenter said, you could experiment with lightning a little more =)

Glad you liked it!
I thought the lines were a bit too thick on the face but hm. I shall experiment moar, including the lighting! Thank you for the complement and motivation!

Lovely! I really enjoy the lineweight here. My only "complaints" would be the his neck looks a tad bit skinny, even for a young boy. Also, there's this slight bit of light coming from the back that's only really perceptible on the hoodie and not on his hair. If there's a secondary light source that's shining, play it up! :"D

Thank you for your input! It helps me a lot I appreciate it

I tend to draw very slinky, skinny figures by default, and usually the skinny neck balances that out I thought, but do u think a more proportionately thick neck would go well with it?

And I shall play up the lighting more! Thanks for the encouragement!

I don't think you need to go like... Hulk-thick-neck on him XD He just needs a slight bit more on the back of his neck there since it doesn't quite look like it'd hold his head up well :")
