Yea I didn't spend too much time on the character to the balance is COMPLETELY off. You know how practice makes things perfect right? I made sure I went outside my comfort zone for this piece and obviously I need to work harder. I'm not as good as drawing females so the anatomy is weird, and detailed BG painting... At least I gave my self a break and colored with the tools I was most familiar with in Painter!
Man, I wish I could just go out of my confort zone like you can. :0 Kudos to you for doing that man! Although I never would've thought you're bad with female anatomy, but anatomy is one of those things that everyone know they need to get better at.
I do admit though, that in the tiny thumbnail I thought it was a guy, Her face is actually a tad 'rough' too, or rather, she looks kinda unisex so it could go either way. :0 I don't know how you make your characters, but I always assumed that their design was based on who they are. So for all I know, there could be reasons as to why she looks the way she does.

I just thought I should torture my self once in a while to get everything I don't like into one piece see how it's going to look for the sake of curiosity Glad people like it more than I thought though! You think so? I dunno I think the upper body area of females gets a bit too masculine when I draw them. Then again my guys are too effeminate so I guess it balances out??? LOL
I USUALLY do, but for this one I didn't give too much thought into her, maybe that's why I personally don't really like her. Hmm.

I'm looking through all the females you've drawn and they look fine, I think it's just this gal over here. *shrugs* Some days are like that, I'll be drawing a character I always draw and it looks nothing like them. xD;

I thought the neck is always too thin and long. The arms doesn't show that masculine tone and I really need to work on that. Also the shoulder bold-ness I guess? Then the females don't have enough CURVES! You know, even when the chick is wearing really boy-ish clothing, the ability to tell they're chicks! THAT's the skill I want D:<
Yea she was just just a quick character I came up at the spot. I knew what type of BG I wanted to draw so I kinda thought up an end-of-the-world theme, sci-fi, and this happened. Totally random.

No I just think of tedious things to draw and even more tedious ways to draw them. @____@ Like a field of grass for example. = 3 =
She kinda has bulky/thick clothes in this so I figured with the shoulder boldness. :0 YES IT'S ALWAYS THE CURVES. D: But I think you can try making a note to exaggerate the curves every time you draw a girl? Your second point is hard though, I'd like that skill myself very much as well. u___u And also being able to draw sturdier chicks but still make it look like a chick. In short, different body types, Gawd, why does the human body have to be so complicated. =___=
