This is probably the major reason why I don't get invited to weddings and festivities. My good wishes always come out so... cynical :cry: This is a piece dedicated to Kitala as her long LONG waited birthday request illustration. I'm finishing it up digitally so if you haven't received yours yet, I'm working on them!!

The theme was "Year of the Snake" and I didn't want to do an anthro or traditional zodiac related pic so here it is! :D
I'm sure you didn't expect this!! The oversized snake is an albino East African Green Mamba (the real ones are green and only about 5 to 8 ft) and yes, those are opium poppies :evillaugh: It's SUPPOSED to mean life is full of obstacles and you are thrown in it, so might as well enjoy it to the fullest HAPPY BIRTHDAY :sarcasm: ...yea you don't want me at your parties (goes to the corner of the room)

Cool pic. I like the snake, it's like 'wtf?' The rose petals turning into blood spots is a nice effect.

Wow, I love the movement! Especially since the swing is just about to break. The colours too are really striking with the red against green and white, and I'm kind of in love with your snake. xD (How long did it take to do all the scales?)

Aww, a bit sad now as my birthday just passed so I have to wait another year again. xD

Like I said in the comments it hasn't so... "happy" themed so I was worried like none other there. Nonetheless, a bit early but HAPPY BIRTHDAY :hug: :hug: :hug:

LOLOL good luck finding one! I know they exist... but isn't it supposed to be RARE AS HELL? I can't think of any white-by-default snakes on top of my head either. I don't particularly want a snake as a pet though mostly because I have WAY too much electricity consuming devices as it is!

Actually the snake only took me a small fraction of the overall piece (the clothing folds usually takes me the longest time since I re-colored it about 4 times) it was made in photoshop's stain glass filter, and changed around the settings, broke that up to pieces and tried to wrap it around the body with the amazing warp free transform. The lighting and shadings are colored on top of it once it was placed.
