I started working on this while I was still attending my previous college... so about a year ago? for the "7 sins contest" here in DA. OBVIOUSLY my patience and motivation ran out before the due date, then decided to procrastinate beyond belief and I finally glued my ass at my desk and finished up this piece.
AH such nostalgia! This is one of my first all-done-on-computer works after my scanner decided to break into multiple pieces. Because the line art was done such a long time ago I feel like working on a collaboration with my old self.
I need to improve on metal painting, human anatomy, interesting lighting and... well everything. I curse my underdeveloped at skills... ONE DAY!!
This is really well rendered. The only thing that I see that is off is the neck. His head sits funny. I feel like there is too much space between his ear and the back of his neck. His face/head looks dislocated from his body. Also I just noticed that his shoulders are really nice, but his neck might be a little small for it. I love the lions head!

I like the burst of mane coming out of the lion armor, very clever! The background light burst confused me about the light source for a moment, because it seems to be coming more from our left than from behind. I think if you moved the light burst as Nakarie suggested, that would also fix the mild lighting confusion since it appears to be a light source. And I just noticed the business suit under the armor. Nice!
