I FRIGGIN SQUEALED WITH DELIGHT WHEN I SAW THE THUMB!!! *A*
Been looking forwards for these pages~ >D I want to see the finish product of
those sketched out pages! The first page you sent me was enough to just keep
my eyes happy. I still get a kick out of scrolling between your sketch and finish page.
IT'S JUST SO FUN/AWESOMEEE. That aside, it's comment time~~
Your coloring and color choices have really come a long way, I love the way these colors
suggest a sort of mystery (which is very appropriate. ;3 ) and that in combination of the
composition really remind me of things like the X-Files. And that game I told you about with
the psychic coffee. lol (I still want some of that coffee). But just those kinds of...mystery-survival
horror shows/games. o3o Someone mentioned alternate universe and I realize that's exactly
why this reminds me of those things. (Mmm, John as silent hill character. I smell crossover hurhur)
So considering that the green is like an alternate universe, it's not scary but simply
off or curious. It also seems science-y in a way. :d I know you seem to be troubled
by the color choices on him, but I think it really works. Hahaha, actually I realize it's why I feel
like this is like a game cover. Often times they have it like that, a soft-shaded BG with cell-shaded
character models. But this contrast in color style really makes them stand out, which also strengthens
this sense of the absurd, alternate universe kind of thing going on.
Zelkats is right, YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE, IN FACT, YOU HAVE EVERYTHING TO GAIN!!!
I know you weren't able to get it in the first time because of time issues. :< I don't know if there
was another round after that or not, but it's too late now anyway. What I want to say in this matter
is, if you never put yourself other there, you'll never get anywhere! DON'T LET THE LIZZARD
BRAIN CONQUER YOU. >A< Don't bother about there being millions of people who are "better" then
you, because there will always be people who are better. :I It's just a fact in this world of
art. But remember, the opposite is true too, you're one of the millions of people who are "better"
for another artist trying to make it. And we've talked about this before, sometimes it's really just
putting out work that's part of it, not that I mean quantity over quality, but you're consistent/stable/good enough in quality. All that needs to be fixed is quality, or content so to speak. :0
It's more or less the same case with me.
Anyhow, I'm excited to see them pages, and you bet I'll be along the way to offer my 2 cents.
